A Link and an I Think....

and, yeah, like the author, I too found Jar Jar Binks beyond irritating but, yeah, like the author, I came out of the movie wanting to be a Jedi.
Now, the "I Think":
I think I (and you!) need to buy Wil Wheaton's newest book being released next week. No, I know we need to. Memories of the Future, Vol. 1 - Wil's ep-by-ep look back at the first season of ST:TNG promises to be everything any Trekker with a sense of humor could want it to be. The Neverending Project
I keep having to put this project aside due to the invasion of Real Life, but today I picked up my little Geek Scoring Sheet and started poking at it, making notes and thinking about format.
What I'm going to do is work out the kinks in Excel (because it's easy to work with) then convert the whole shebang into a pretty PDF at one time.
To that end, I've uploaded the rough draft excel file. It's not pretty, but it's just a brief brainstorm and I'm looking for input.
If you have the time to take a look, you'll see that I've made a cover sheet, then the tabs at the bottom have separate sheets for each category. SciFi/Fantasy is the most complete sheet... comic and gamer categories. I'd like to include the categories of band/choir, theater, and academic geek... but I have no clue how to quantify these qualities. I'm beginning to think I'll need to have those on the front sheet as maybe a sub-class?
Anyway - I'm a little incoherent tonight, so forgive the broken thoughts in this post... but input is welcome if you have the time. Hopefully I'll pick this up again before another three months passes.

Christmas is coming...
This is a pretty cool jobby for our D&D/RPG geek friends...
Marsbarn's dice bags - and she's got them on sale right now!
I have to admit, I don't have one - unfortunately, I never found anyone willing to play with me growing up and, once grown, admitting I'd never played moved me from geek to dork and still no one was willing to play with me! - but I do have 3 of her crowns in my possession and one absolutely stunning messenger bag that I get enormous compliments on (if you read this, Marsbarn, you should send me some business cards next time round for me to hand out!). The workmanship (workwomanship?) is excellent and I can't recommend her enough.
Buy one of these dice bags - better yet, buy 2 - you won't regret it. Unless you decide to give them away as gifts... then you'll regret losing them to someone else! Hmmm... maybe you should buy 4...
