I Want This So Fucking Badly...

but the Sensible Adult in me has pointed out that I don't need it, indeed, I'd have to invent meetings to use it. And, granted, it would make meetings cool - but who really wants to relive them?

http://www.livescribe.com/smartpen/index.html

And how many meetings can I invent? Enough to justify the $240 price tag for this??

I may not need it but, dude, I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed it.

Granted, in a few years, it might make PTA meetings bearable... good enough reason?

Oh man, the smartpens are SO COOL.
And really expensive.
I know the feeling - there has been many a day when I've seen a cool gadget that's totally irrelevant to my life, and wished I had a reason to purchase it.

Not that the smartpen wouldn't be good for a college student.
But. The price tag isn't good for a college student.
And I don't know how my professors would feel about my pen repeating what they just said if I started that annoying tapping thing I always do.
Also inconvenient for the distracted in class or the office. You tap your pin and your neighbor's voice repeats, "This meeting sucks."
Awk-ward.

(Think about football. No that just brings me back to the leather case... help...)

Of course, Amanda, it could inspire meeting planners to plan better meetings? I wouldn't have been able to afford it in college either, if that's any consolation, though, man, it sure would've been useful!!

I know, I know, SMT!! I saw this in Target and I swear I stood there until my 3 year old was dancing standing up in the cart seat just drooling... We office supplies addicts are just doomed!!

Is an undying love of office supplies something that comes hand-in-hand with being a geek?
I'd never been into a Staples until Wednesday, and I absolutely nearly wee'd myself with pleasure.

It took a lot of self-control to get goal-oriented and ignore looking... but if I looked, I would want to buy, and we know what a vicious cycle that turns into
